Laura Maria Soares Ribeiro 1892-1956(Laura Maria Soares Ribeiro, b. 11 November 1892 Hong Kong, d. 22 June 1956 Hong Kong) m. David Jose Maria Fernandes (b. 21 March 1889 Macau) 10 January 1917 (son of Antonio Justino Fernandes and Brigida Maria do Rosario Monteiro) Their children: (i) Beatriz Esperanca Ribeiro Fernandes (b. 22 August 1917, d. 29 September 2008) (ii) Eduardo Alberto Ribeiro Fernandes (b, 29 December 1919, d.1942 POW Camp Japan)  Laura was one of the beauties of Hong Kong in the old days. She was very vain. She always wore high-heeled slippers even at home right through her old age.
