Francisco Ildefonso Ribeiro 1864-1905 Pictured: Francisco and Leonidia with Laura and DanielFrancisco Ildefonso was born in Macau. He was baptised on 31 January 1864 by Father Francisco Xavier da Silva, Parish Priest of Santo Antonio of Macau in China; legitimate son of Atanasio Francisco Ribeiro and Faustina Maria Martins, grandchild of Jose Ribeiro and Joanna Francisca do Rosario on the paternal side, and Ramon and Antonia Martina on the maternal side; godfather: Saint Francis de Pauls, godmother: Antonia Martina. He died in Hong Kong when my Grampapa was 1 year old. His headstone lies side by side with my grandmother Ignez’ grave in Happy Valley Cemetery, Hong Kong.
