Marie Yvonne Ribeiro(b. 11 November 1936, Hong Kong)Yvonne is the youngest daughter of Daniel Ribeiro and Ignez Fernandes Yvonne started her education during WWII in Macau. She attended kindergarten at Idalia da Luz Private School and then went on to Santa Rosa da Lima. After the war, Yvonne attended St Mary’s School until graduation. She also studied piano under Professor Harry Ore from Latvia. She sat the London School of Music exams and had planned to pursue a musical career, but as fate would have it she changed direction at some point in her life and attended the Institute of Business Administration to pursue a business career instead. Yvonne first worked for Hong Kong Airways in Kowloon as a steno-typist. She then went on to work for Jardine Matheson in Hong Kong as a stenographer.  Yvonne and Robert were married on 4 November 1961. Robert was the son of Arthur (“Chelly”) Rozario and Henriette Demee. He was born in Hong Kong on 27 July1937.Yvonne and Robert left Hong Kong in 1963 and immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Yvonne worked for the Hudson Bay Department Store as the Advertising/Sales Promotion secretary and Robert worked in the accounting office of Eaton’s Department Store and thereafter joined the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce as an International Banking Officer. Yvonne and Robert immigrated to San Francisco in 1967. Yvonne first worked for the Emporium as secretary to the Merchandise Manager. In 1969 she moved on to join the Bank of California as a secretary and worked her way up to Vice-President and Trust Officer. She retired after 28 years of service with the Bank. Robert worked for the Crocker National Bank as an International Banking Specialist. After 13 years with Crocker, Robert left and joined the Bank of Montreal as International Banking Manager. After the Bank of Montreal went through a merger, Robert worked for Lloyds Bank, and finally the Bank of America in Palo Alto until his retirement in 1997.  Yvonne has a special talent making artificial floral arrangements. Yvonne and Robert operated a gift shop in the Lighthouse Hotel which provided an excellent outlet for her crafts.
